Apical Flycatcher & Sonso lagoon Dry Forest Daytrip (Cali)
Sonso lagoon covers 14.1 square kilometers on the right bank of the Cauca River. Enjoy the exotic landscape of the lagoon and discover the birds that live there. It is a wetland ecosystem with a dry tropical forest that is home to hundreds of species of resident and migratory birds. Includes lunch ,Snack, transport in air conditioned private vehicle, bilingual guide, rent of binoculars, tourism insurance and entrance to Sonso Lagoon Reserve, local Birding guide. Departure at 4:30 am (duration 12:00 hours).

We will leave the hotel at 4:30 am to get to the lagoon at 6am. We will take the breakfast on the trail. We will be birding around the lagoon, and we can see species such as endemic Grayish Piculet, endemic Apical Flycatcher, Amazon Kingfisher, Anhinga, Bar Crested Antshrike, Jet Antbird, Cocoi Heron, Bare Faced Ibis, Striated Heron, Yellow Headed Caracara, Crested Caracara, Purple Gallinule, Spectacled parrotlet, Wattled Jacana , Striped Cuckoo, Smooth-billed Ani, Dark billed Cuckoo, Dwarf Cuckoo, Red breasted Blackbird, Fork Tailed Flycatcher, Common Potoo, Yellow Oriole, Red Capped Cardinal among others. We leave the lagoon around noon and have lunch in Buga. After lunch we will return to Cali and arrive to the hotel at 3:00pm.
